Mangalore Robotronics Technologies (MRT), Surathkal, Mangalore, was established in the year 2005-2006, by Mr. Vijay Kumar Bangera (Chairman & founder) and supported by the co-founder Mr. Prajwal V. Kumar. Right during the time, company was running on partnership basis, recently company has been transformed into a private limited company with a team of directors and with name “ Mangalore Robautonics Pvt Ltd.

The Company is into development of Robotics for agriculture, industry, and consumer sectors. In future it is aiming to look towards defence market. It is also concentrating on automobile and electronic sectors. MRT started with the project of Remote controlled system for Power Tillers, which took nearly 2 yrs to complete the first prototype. This project is first of its kind in the World with patent pending in some countries. We have already manufactured 50 numbers as a pilot project through our OEM VST Tillers and Tractors Ltd, Bangalore and further production is in progress. Along with this innovation, few more new ideas are under process and work on R&D is going on. Our office and R&D center are at Surathkal. With R&D unit at NITK-STEP (National Institute of technology Karnataka- Science and Technology Entrepreneur park) with project support and grants from Government of India.

After the successful completion of the project “Remote Controlled Systems for Power Tillers”, the Company is now poised for the production of the first lot for power tillers with an estimated production quantity of 5000 systems for the coming year. Mangalore Robautonics Pvt Ltd will develop rugged, simple and cost competitive new generation robotics technologies, through its creativity, knowledge and skill.
